1 simple tweak = 3x more engagement on LinkedIn🔥

I’ve written over 100 pieces of LinkedIn content this year—for both my myself and for clients.

And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: not all posts are created equal.

Some flop. Some take off.

So I decided to dig into the data and figure out what actually works.

Here’s what I found. 👇

The Best-Performing Content Formats

Certain types of posts consistently do better than others. (No surprises there.)

But these four topped the list.

I’ve listed them in impact order:

1. Carousels

2. Infographics

3. LinkedIn Newsletter Articles

For context, I post a mixture of content every week including text only posts and text with pictures posts.

But neither of those make the top 3 when I run the numbers.

And you might have noticed something else.

Each of the top 3 require way more effort to create than just a standard text based post.

So what can you do to make life easier and get more reach with your posts?

My Simple Content Repurposing System

Instead of constantly churning out new ideas, I let my audience tell me what works.

I do this by:

🔹 Posting daily—this gives me more data on what people engage with.
🔹 Each week, take the two best-performing posts and turn them into carousels for next week.
🔹 Take the best-performing carousel from the previous week and turn it into an article.

That’s it. Simple, right?

It works because I’m only doubling down on proven ideas. No guessing. No wasting time on content that won’t land. Just refining and repackaging what already works.

Why This Approach Wins

One of the biggest mistakes I made was spending hours creating high-production content before testing my ideas.

It led to a lot of heartbreak.

There is nothing worse than spending hours on Canva trying to create the perfect carousel only to post and get 10 impressions and no comments.

If I could go back and tell my deflated self-one thing, it would be this:

Fancy formatting doesn’t save a bad idea.

📌 Good visuals + weak ideas = lots of views, but no leads or engagement.
📌 Strong ideas + weak visuals = decent reach, but great impact.
📌 Strong ideas + strong visuals = the holy grail—massive reach + engagement.

This is why I don’t create carousels, infographics or articles just because.

The idea has to be solid first. Once it’s proven, then it’s worth investing the extra effort.

*Disclaimer*

Yes, we’ve all seen LinkedIn posts with a pristine carousel coupled with content that doesn’t really make sense, go viral. But believe me, the vast majority of them don’t generate leads. I know because I’ve spoken to a ton of those creators this year!

Try This For Yourself

If you’re creating content regularly, then make sure you maximise the ROI on your time.

And the best way to do that is to dive into the data.

Track what works. Then repurpose the winners.

It’s a simple shift, but it will save you a ton of time and help you create content that actually moves the needle.

Let me know if you try it—I’d love to hear how it works for you!

When people think about creating content, they usually focus on the top line: New clients More leads More sales And yes, those are important. But they’re not the only benefits. Sometimes, the unplanned outcomes are the most powerful ones. This year alone, clients I’ve worked with have been: Invited to speak at industry events (and paid for it too) Asked to write guest articles in a leading healthcare publication Approached by a VC firm for a 6-figure consulting project (their core business...

Is there anything better for business than a good referral? A client or friend sends someone your way and the process is seamless. No lead gen headache. No drawn-out sales process. They’re ready to work with you with no hassle. Why? Because someone they trust has already done the selling. So the big question is, how do you get more of them? For me, it started with a book. A former client gifted me Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara. I’ve since read it cover to cover, multiple times. Now I...
