Imagine buying a car, then thinking, “Ugh, I really don’t feel like going to the petrol station.” It doesn’t matter. If you don’t fill up, your car doesn’t run. The same goes for your coaching business. Without outreach, your business isn’t moving. A lot of coaches get stuck here. They wait until they feel “ready” to put themselves out there. They tinker with their websites, obsess over their LinkedIn bios, and rework their messaging for the hundredth time. None of that matters if nobody knows you exist. Outreach doesn’t care about your feelings. Whether you like it or not is irrelevant. If you want more leads, more income, and to make more impact, then you have to talk to people. You have to be seen. You have to go first. Especially when you’re starting out, and the momentum is low. No one's knocking on your door yet. The harsh truth is that the coaches making the most money aren’t always the best at coaching. It’s rarely about how skilled they are at coaching. It’s about how skilled they are at creating clients. And the more clients you have, the better you become. You get good at coaching by coaching, not by sitting on the sidelines, obsessing over your niche or SEO. If you’re reading this and thinking, “I want to make more money as a coach,” then you’ll get there faster by doing more outreach. By starting conversations and finding people to help. This is the game. Get out there and ask yourself: “Who can I help today?” There are thousands, maybe millions of people who could benefit from what you do. You don’t need all of them. You don’t even need a hundred. If I handed you 100 clients tomorrow, you’d probably freak out! Outreach works because: Once this clicked for me, everything changed. My own coaching business grew faster than ever when I made outreach a daily habit. Not a “when I feel like it” thing. Not a “when I’m confident” thing. A daily thing. Let me throw it back to you, what do you think about this? Are you avoiding outreach? Would it help if I wrote a follow-up next week diving into how to do outreach in a way that feels genuine (not gross)? Hit reply and let me know. I'm happy to go deeper on this if it’s useful to you.
